"Here I am ! It is already 40 degrees when I arrive to Lisbon. Fortunately, I chose shorts instead of jeans..."
I remember this first day as it was yesterday. I was completely stressed out but also so excited to discover Lisbon and the new life that was waiting for me. After two hours and a half in the plane, I got back my three big sets of luggage, and then I had the first contact with a Portuguese taxi driver. It was much more easier than what I imagined : the driver understood me even if he was not able to answer my questions. I arrived in one piece in front of my building.
From the airport until my home, I saw a really charming city. Full of colors, old statues, a lot of churches and... hills : slopes and uphills, perfect to do some sport !
Then, I got stuck in front of the door because I had no keys, no phone (it was not working) and no landlord (he was late, as usual in Portugal).
Finally I entered the building and reached the 3rd floor, my flatmates welcomed me, and at that moment, I knew that I met my new family in this new hometown...
